Influential East County group calls him “strong advocate for off-roader rights”
(Ramona, Calif.) – The San Diego Off-Road Coalition, an influential group of off road enthusiasts throughout the East County region, have announced their endorsement of community leader Mike Harrison for State Assembly.
“For many years, Mike Harrison has been a strong advocate for off-roader rights and recreational access to public lands through the office of Congressman Hunter and we have depended upon him as an important resource,” said Ed Stovin, the group’s president. “We are excited that someone with his background and experience, who will make these important issues a priority, is willing to go to Sacramento and fight for us. It is for this reason the San Diego Off-Road Coalition is proud to endorse Mike Harrison for Assembly and we look forward to partnering with him in his campaign.”
“The San Diego Off-Road Coalition is an extremely important and helpful organization in our area, and works diligently to protect the rights of citizens to enjoy and recreate on our public lands,” said Harrison. “We are blessed in California to have some of the greatest natural resources in the nation, but we also have a state government and groups in Sacramento totally dedicated to closing these lands to recreating families. Protecting these rights is an important priority for me and I am honored and proud to have the support of the SDORC in my campaign for Assembly. Together, we will be working to make a difference in California.”
California’s public lands continue to be a target of encroachment and over-regulation by Sacramento and extreme environmentalists who continually work to close access to areas that have been enjoyed by generations of Californians. Equally important, these lands serve as a revenue source for local communities to invest in tourism and land management education. Harrison advocates for environmental policy decisions that utilize sound science and common sense and will work toward those dual goals in the California Assembly.
The San Diego Off-Road Coalition joins over 90 other endorsements supporting Harrison for Assembly, including groups specifically focused on public land use such as the Mountain Empire Gun Owners and the San Diego/Orange County Chapter of the Citizen’s Alliance for Private Property Rights.
