“I’ve looked at CA52 “battleground precincts” — areas where the majority of voters supported Peters for Congress and DeMaio for Mayor in 2012. You had cross-over voters, Independent voters, a significant number of people who could be swayed when having to choose one candidate in 2014. Putting the maps side by side, you can clearly see Peters won 90%+ of the battleground precincts. You could almost completely overlap them and get a perfect fit.
