Rick Perry Night in San Diego… Mike Slater, Jason Roe, Bill Horn and Tony Krvaric led the Welcome at Lindbergh Field

Eight hundred activists packed a Lindbergh Field hanger on Wednesday night to hear Texas Gov. Rick Perry, fresh from his 1st Presidential debate.  San Diegans Jason Roe (Revolvis) worked the Advance Team,  Mike Slater (KFMB 760 radio) was stellar as event MC,  Tony Krvaric successful ‘Producer’ of the event, and County Supervisor Bill Horn represented the Veterans cause.  For once the Star Act justified the  build-up. In brief remarks, Rick Perry came across as purposeful,  humble and friendly.    He also  electrified  the enthusiastic crowd with lines like the one shown above.

SD Rostra  provided  unprecedented TEAM COVERAGE with Barry Jantz, Brad Fikes and Your Correspondent all in attendance.

Other speakers included (1)  Pastor Shawn Mitchell who urged  Americans to  be humble and ask God to deliver the USA from its  current problems  (2) Assemblyman Brian Jones (R-Santee) who introduced Governor Perry (3) Bishops Schools graduate Ms. Shelby Reese who movingly sang, “God Bless America”  (4)  and Bill Horn who happily declared the County of San Diego has a higher bond rating (AAA) than the United States.

MORE FROM GOVERNOR PERRY

Governor Perry proudly introduced his wife Anita, calling San Diego one of their favorite cities, and Tony Kravric their favorite Swedish-American !   Governor Perry closed his remarks with this formal promise, and it seemed to come from his Core:

“I promise you that if I become President, every day I will go to the Oval Office and work to make the Federal government  as Inconsequential to your life as possible!”

Governor  Perry physically pulled his left shoulder back as he started this declaration, and then “followed through” with his arm,  looking like a pitcher trying for a  strike out  in the 9th inning.    No one left Lindbergh Field tonight doubting that Rick Perry meant every word  he said.
