Happy October everybody! We’re only a month into the NFL season, and we only have two undefeated teams remaining. The season so far has included many tight finishes, upsets, and memorable moments. Also, what’s the deal with all these blocked kicks…? We had a bit of an off week last week for our picks, but we still managed to get 10 wins on the week. Let’s get back on track and pick some winners!
PICKS (47-17 Overall)
San Francisco 49ers (3-1) @ Los Angeles Rams (3-1)
- What normally is a close-fought divisional matchup has been dramatically altered by injuries on the 49ers roster. They are without so many offensive players, that many are wondering who will play receiver for them. On the other side, the Rams have been a Top 3 offense so far this season. I’ll take the Rams by 10.
Minnesota Vikings (2-2) vs. Cleveland Browns (1-3)
- Hey London, here’s some NFL football for you! Those attending the game across the pond will get the pleasure of watching Carson Wentz vs. Dillon Gabriel in his first start. The over/under is set at 35.5 points currently, which means the books don’t expect these offenses to do anything productive at all. It hurts to try and pick a victor here, but I’ll take the Browns and their stellar pass rush.
Houston Texans (1-3) @ Baltimore Ravens (1-3)
- This season has been quite awful for both of these teams, who expected to be Super Bowl contenders before the season. Similar to the Niners, the Ravens have a large number of key players who won’t see the field due to injury, possibly including star 2x MVP Lamar Jackson. I think the Texans defense feasts on backup QB Cooper Rush and steal a road win.
New York Giants (1-3) @ New Orleans Saints (0-4)
- Jaxson Dart is 1-0 as a starting quarterback! What seems to be a gross matchup is actually quite intriguing. The Giants played well enough to hand the Chargers their first loss last week, but the Saints are hungry for their first win. Giants win a close one.
Denver Broncos (2-2) @ Philadelphia Eagles (4-0)
- The Eagles offense has been a rollercoaster so far this season, but they’ve done just enough each game to stay undefeated. On a short week, I don’t see the Broncos winning in Philadelphia, and I think Bo Nix struggles against this defense.
Dallas Cowboys (1-2-1) @ New York Jets (0-4)
- Dak Prescott is playing lights OUT through 4 games, and the Cowboys have the most successful run game in the league! That works out well for them, as the Jets’ defense has certainly seen better days.
Las Vegas Raiders (1-3) @ Indianapolis Colts (3-1)
- Geno Smith has not looked like himself for a few games, and they face a surprisingly successful Colts team looking to reach 4-1. I believe this game could be on blowout watch, with the struggling Raiders defense attempting to limit Jonathan Taylor.
Miami Dolphins (1-3) @ Carolina Panthers (1-3)
- I can imagine most people won’t be paying too much attention to this game on Sunday. The Dolphins will be without star receiver Tyreek Hill for the rest of the season after a horrific knee injury against the Jets, but I think their offense still has the firepower to torch this Panthers defense.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1) @ Seattle Seahawks (3-1)
- What an awesome game we have in the afternoon! Unfortunately, Tampa Bay is pretty banged up all over the roster, but they’ve proven they can stay in any game with Baker Mayfield under center. Seattle is a very tough environment to play in, but I’m taking the upset pick here.
Tennessee Titans (0-4) @ Arizona Cardinals (2-2)
- “Dumpster fire” would be an understatement for how the Titans have looked this season. To be fair, the Cardinals haven’t looked like an elite team, but they have WAY more competency on the field compared to their Week 5 opponent. Gimme the Cardinals.
Washington Commanders (2-2) @ Los Angeles Chargers (3-1)
- Another very fun game in the afternoon. The Commanders get Jayden Daniels back from injury, and the Chargers look to bounce back from a shocking road loss to the Giants last week. I think this has the possibility to be a high scoring affair, and I will take Justin Herbert and the Chargers.
Detroit Lions (3-1) @ Cincinnati Bengals (2-2)
- Can it get much worse for the Bengals? Well, unfortunately, yes it can. The Lions have looked electric since their week 1 loss, and the Bengals have a pretty horrible defense. I think the Lions destroy the Bengals, especially if they look like they did against the Broncos on Monday night.
New England Patriots (2-2) @ Buffalo Bills (4-0)
- Sunday Night Football is my favorite scheduled game each week, and I love when it features a divisional matchup. The Bills are pretty significant favorites, but don’t sleep on Drake Maye and the Patriots in this one. I think Buffalo wins at home, but in a close game.
Kansas City Chiefs (2-2) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (3-1)
- Another sneaky good matchup! The Chiefs are favorites on the road, which peaks my interest because I always like a home underdog. However, I haven’t seen enough from the Jaguars to convince me they’ll defeat Mahomes and the Chiefs in this one.

FANTASY
Indianapolis Colts TE Tyler Warren will be a solid start against the Raiders. Las Vegas struggles with their pass defense, and the rookie TE has put the league on notice with his play so far this season.
