Good morning, all! We’ve made it to the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs, with last weekend featuring several classic games and close finishes.
Here’s a small recap to refresh the memory… The Rams and Panthers kicked things off with Los Angeles scoring late to take down Carolina on the road in a high scoring affair.
In the evening game, Round 3 of the Packers/Bears series for the 2025-26 season was an absolute CLASSIC, with the Bears overcoming an 18-point deficit to beat their divisional rival at home.
On Sunday, Josh Allen played Superman, as the Bills achieved a road win of their own in Jacksonville.
The Niners went on the road and silenced the Philly crowd, earning a victory, but losing star TE George Kittle to an Achilles injury along the way.
Sunday Night Football featured the Patriots defense putting on a show on their way to a 16-3 win, as the defensive line had Justin Herbert running for his life all night.
We really don’t have to discuss Monday Night Football at all, but I HAVE to point out how scary the Texans’ defense is (my Steelers definitely found that out the hard way in primetime).
Without further delay, let’s jump into this weekend!
PICKS (5-1 in Playoffs)
Buffalo Bills @ Denver Broncos
- As I mentioned above, Josh Allen proved why he’s the reigning MVP in his performance against the Jaguars. He had several throws that were unbelievable, leading his team to a road victory against a hyped-up Jags team and fanbase. The Broncos come off of a bye week, earning some much-needed rest and recovery prior to this matchup. To be honest, I am very torn on this game. I originally picked the Bills to make it to the Superbowl, but this Broncos defense has been lights out this season, especially with the home crowd behind them. However, I think this is Buffalo’s year, even with the injuries they have on both sides of the ball. Who do you trust more, Josh Allen, or Bo Nix? Give me the Bills in an upset, 23-21.
San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks
- Unfortunately, I think San Francisco has way too many injuries all over their roster to hang with Seattle. Especially with this game being in Seattle, I think the Seahawks take care of business and get ready to host an NFC Championship at home next weekend. Seattle 31, San Fran 21.
Houston Texans @ New England Patriots
- Nico Collins will miss this game for the Texans after suffering a concussion against the Steelers, which really hurts their offensive gameplan. Also, the Texans’ offensive line has struggled all year, which I’m sure the Patriots are excited about. Even though the Texans’ defense is very scary, I think the Patriots do just enough to earn their way into an AFC Championship game. Patriots 20, Texans 16.
Los Angeles Rams @ Chicago Bears
- This game might be the one I am most excited for. The Rams have proven themselves to be one of the best teams in the league this season, especially with the offensive schemes that Sean McVay draws up each week. The Bears have one key component on their side, which they are far more used to than Los Angeles. The weather at kickoff is supposed to be 21 degrees, with some light snow and wind gusts up to 20mph. This doesn’t scream Southern California weather to me, but you need to overcome a variety of factors in order to win in this league. I will take the Rams in a close one, as I think their offense will be too much for the Bears’ defense. Rams 30, Bears 24.
Have a great weekend everybody – I’ll be back to recap this weekend and preview Championship Sunday!
