McCann makes a “robocall” to Sweetwater residents about colleagues’ legal expenses

Sweetwater Schools Trustee John McCann placed an automated phone call to district residents, asking for action to oppose the use of taxpayer funds for the legal defense of three of his colleagues and a former board member.

Here are the board docket items for tonight’s meeting of the school board:

* Approve or deny the request for payment of Attorney’s fees for Gregorio Sandoval in connection with People v. Gandara, et al. (F/I: $400,000, General Fund.)

* Approve or deny the request for payment of Attorney’s fees for Pearl Quiñones in connection with People v. Gandara, et al. (F/I: $400,000, General Fund.)

* Approve or deny the request for payment of Attorney’s fees for Arlie Ricasa in connection with People v. Gandara, et al. (F/I: $400,000, General Fund.)

* Approve or deny the request for payment of Attorney’s fees in connection with the District Attorney’s Office investigation into financial matters (Bertha Lopez). (F/I: $100,000, General Fund.)
