SD Rostra’s own  Marie Waldron looks the clear front-runner to succeed term-limited Kevin Jeffries in the State Assembly.  Today she announced her endorsement by Carlsbad Mayor Matt Hall and Vista Mayor Judy Ritter.  San Marcos Mayor Jim Desmond and Mayor Sam Abed of  Escondido were already on board the Waldron bandwagon.  Matt Hall remarked, “Marie’s experience as both a business owner and local elected official make her best qualified to fight to get Sacramento off the backs of our businesses, families and local governments.”

……. MAYOR  JUDY RITTER OF VISTA

Vista Mayor Judy Ritter agreed.  “Sending Marie up to Sacramento is critical for our state and region. The polices coming out of our state legislature have been a disaster for local taxpayers, job creators and our local governments.  I know that Marie will fight hard to get California back on track.”

Marie Waldron, who serves on the Escondido city council, thanked both mayors. “I am grateful to have the support and confidence of Mayor Hall and Mayor Ritter.  Sacramento needs a tremendous amount of reform and I look forward to working with them and other local leaders to make it happen.”

Senator Joel Anderson, Senator Mark Wyland, and Assemblymen Martin Garrick and Kevin Jeffries are also Waldron supporters, as is the Lincoln Club of San Diego County
