San Diego — Carl DeMaio’s campaign for Congress continues to build a strong network of grassroots support in the 50th Congressional District and today announced the endorsement of San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond. Desmond represents District 5 on the County Board of Supervisors and his district covers more than half of the voters in the 50th Congressional District.
“I’m pleased to endorse Carl DeMaio for Congress because he’s a fighter who will always stand up for taxpayers,” said Desmond.
DeMaio and Desmond recently teamed up to fight the attempted raid by the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) on road repair and congestion relief funds. DeMaio and Desmond have appeared together at community Town Halls to educate voters on the raids and offer common-sense solutions to traffic relief for our region.
“I’m thrilled to have Supervisor Desmond’s endorsement for my campaign for Congress and I look forward to working closely with him to fight the outrageous attempt by city politicians to raid our road repair funds,” DeMaio said.
