Hispanics set to be one fifth of United States youth

It is being reported by the U.S. Census Bureau that Hispanics under the age of 20 will make up 21.8 percent of the American youth population– the figure is an increase from the 2000 census count of 17 percent.

While the U.S. Census Bureau hasn’t officially released the results of the 2010 Census count the projected Hispanic youth numbers are based on the number of births, deaths, enrollments in Medicare and the projected new immigrants who came to the country before April 1st of this year.
