District 5 candidate Mark Kersey wins support of Jerry Sanders to succeed Carl DeMaio on SD City Council

Businessman  and New Media expert  Mark Kersey of Rancho Bernardo gains new Momentum today with an endorsement from San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders.   Carl DeMaio, Kevin Faulconer and Lorie Zapf also back fellow  Republican Kersey . Mark  Kersey built his own business from the ground up, offering expert analysis of dramatic changes in Television, advertising and marketing  owing to Computers and other technological innovations.  Mayor Sanders stated  today that, “As I look to the future of our city, it is important to me that I support candidates who I trust to move the ball forward on the reforms that San Diego desperately needs,” said Mayor Sanders. “Mark’s steadfast support of Comprehensive Pension Reform and other critical reforms like managed competition is why he is my choice for district 5 councilmember.”

“I am deeply honored to have Mayor Sanders confidence and support of my candidacy,” noted Kersey. “The Mayor has done a tremendous job leading our city and fighting for reform – often in the face of significant opposition. I look forward to working on the council to implement the critical reforms that Mayor Sanders supports so that we can finally restore core neighborhood services to the levels that taxpayers deserve.”

Council District 5 leans heavily Republican, with neighborhoods like Sabre Springs, Black Mountain Ranch, Rancho Penasquitos and Rancho Bernardo.
