Governor Schwarzenegger Signs Chelsea’s Law
9:45 a.m. Gov. Schwarzenegger will be joined by Assemblymember Nathan Fletcher (R-San Diego) and Brent and Kelly King to sign AB 1844 by Assemblymember Fletcher.
AB 1844, also known as Chelsea’s Law, increases penalties for forcible sex acts against minors, creates a penalty of life without the possibility of parole for specified sex acts against minors, creates safe zones around parks and mandates lifetime parole for specified sex offenders.
