Can we assume an endorsement from the group below means meeting a litmus test of supporting mobile home rent control?
Is it possible to be a credible candidate in Santee without supporting rent control? What about a credible Republican candidate?
Are any candidates opposed to rent control of mobile homes?

Santee Mobile Owners Action Committee Announce Endorsement of Dustin Trotter for Santee City Council
Santee – The Santee Mobile Owners Action Committee (SMOAC) made it official, they are endorsing the leading candidate for Santee City Council in 2016, Dustin Trotter.
“We represent thousands of mobile home owners across Santee and we endorsed the candidate who has the best interest of those home owners in mind, Dustin Trotter. We look forward to helping him get elected to Santee City Council and expect him to continue to be a champion of Santee residents once there,” stated Buddy Rabaya, the President of SMOAC.
Dustin is a small business owner, opening Trotter Door and Trim in 2006, and has since become a general contractor, working across Santee and the region.
“I am thrilled to have the endorsement from such a wonderful group. SMOAC works tirelessly to improve the lives of thousands of Santee residents every year and to receive such a vote of confidence is humbling. Once elected I will work tirelessly to improve the lives of all Santee residents and I look forward to working with SMOAC and home owners across our great city,” said Trotter.
Trotter is married with two kids; wife Genny, and kids Kayla and Jaden.
Dustin was born in Santee to a hard working blue collar family, his mom working in various sales jobs and his dad owning a pizza parlor. Starting work at age 13 and picking up a second job by 16, Dustin quickly learned what it meant to be on time, have integrity, honesty, and loyalty. Values that he still embodies today in business and in daily life.
Dustin is running for Santee City Council, an election that will be held on November 8th.
