from Louis Russo
Day three started with Ann Coulter as the speaker for the CA delegation breakfast. Her main theme was illegal immigration and the harm it is doing us. As to Hillary and the Democratic Party, “They want to make all of America California, without the nice beaches.”
There was only one session today and the delegates were asked if they would share their floor passes with the alternates to let them get the on floor experience.
You may not have heard, but a chant of “Endorse, endorse” started as it began to become clear Ted Cruz wasn’t going to. That relatively quickly became booing. During this time I was in the alternate section, having given up my badge. From that viewpoint it was clear that the chant and boos were coming from nearly all the delegations.
It’s clear Newt Gingrich can provide Trump with detailed, accurate, scholarly dissection of Hillary’s faults, should Trump so desire.
All the delegations are sure Mike Pence is everything Palin was not.
Tidbits:
A San Diego Sheriff deputy I know gave me positive assessment of law enforcement’s handing of protesters. Most delegates had no idea it even occurred, it was so far away. There was a small protest right outside security screening but they were whisked away extremely quickly in two police vans after ignoring police orders.
All delegates are going up to law enforcement to shake their hands and thank them.
I saw Royal Canadian Mounted Policemen as part of security as well as Army Guardsmen on outer security perimeter.
By the way, gas is $2.07/gallon.
