Bill Wells Pulls Ahead in AD 77th Fundraising

El Cajon Mayor Pro Tem Bill Wells’ campaign for the 77th Assembly district continues to gain strength and a commanding fundraising lead. In just the two weeks since incumbent Joel Anderson declared his run for State Senate, the Wells campaign pulled in over $25,000 worth of contributions from a large number of donors. The other candidates in the race combined for less than $1200 over that same two week span. Reports released today show Wells leading his competition by over $18,000 during the latest January 1st through March 17th filing period.

“With Joel now a formal candidate for State Senate, I have had a flood of financial support into my campaign. With many local prominent figures offering to host fundraising events on my behalf, the next few weeks will undoubtedly add to our early success,” said Wells.

The ability to raise funds in this race has been strengthened by the many endorsements that Wells has received since Anderson’s March 3rd Senate announcement kicked off the Assembly campaign in earnest.

By the numbers, Wells leads all competition in contributions raised this period, contributions raised to date, and cash-on-hand — even after investing in the tangible campaign infrastructure necessary to win this race.

These funds will allow Bill Wells to get his conservative record and extensive list of endorsements to the primary voters.
