Mr. Raul Furlong was asked to present some past poll results from the 2005 mayor’s race to assist SD Rostra readers in better understanding the upcoming 2011-12 SD mayoral race. He did not volunteer, but politely and helpfully responded to my request. The first installment was published on Tuesday. I am disappointed to now see Mr. Furlong’s qualifications and integrity questioned. Mr. Furlong is well respected in the political community. It may be more difficult in the future to get guest pieces at SD Rostra after this experience. And by the way… comments are occasionally removed at SD Rostra. It has happened to me too. But I did not make an issue of it, or even respond.
