I’m not a big Sandra Bullock fan, but she did a sensational job in The Blind Side. This true story features Sandra as a Conservative, a Republican, a Christian, and an NRA member, all in one. It’s difficult to believe such fare was a major Hollywood release, especially since the woman is portrayed as a heroine. Nevertheless, people from both sides of the political aisle seem to absolutely love it. Bullock is convincing as a spunky, blunt, compassionate woman who reaches out to the disenfranchised.
Hmm…Spunky, but caring for the underdog, and a Republican, and a Christian, and a Conservative, and an NRA member, and (lest we forget) a happily married mother, extremely committed to her family!
In case you didn’t notice, I just described Sarah Palin. True, I’m also describing a woman in a popular movie based upon a real, honest-to-goodness, living individual, (Leigh Anne Tuohy). How could this be? How could Blind Side be so popular, even with those on the Left, while Sarah Palin remains a cursed name in their intimate, conversations around the water cooler? Could the media have accomplished such a successful smear campaign, that people are reacting to the very name, Sarah Palin, without knowing much if anything about the woman?
This is Bob Siegel, making the obvious, obvious.
