www.sdvotes.com: Live Blogging Election Night with SD CityBeat

Tuesday, June 8, 2010
posted by Thor's Assistant

TONITE: Check out www.sdvotes.com !!!!!!

It’s a match made in … well, San Diego.  Rostra is hooking up, so to speak, with San Diego CityBeat for a live blogscan on Tuesday night, starting at 6 p.m.

We may be Center-Right, the folks at CityBeat may like to call themselves Progressives, and they may even be full of turds on occasion (you might need to click the link on that one).  Yet, we can all agree that it would be way cool to provide some real time, high-tech election analysis, discussion, and good-natured smack to our respective readers on Tuesday night.  Which IS pretty progressive, if not in the philosophical sense.

Plus, they asked us.  Which we thought was pretty cool as well.

You’ll be able to follow the blogging on a special livescan site hosted by CityBeat at www.sdvotes.com.

A couple of token right-leaning contributors from Rostra will be taking part, just to even out all of this progressiveness.  You can help as well, thus ensuring we don’t become some kind of bastardized kinder, gentler Rostra.

Go to www.sdvotes.com now to see the format, some of the participating contributors, and additional info on how those of you using Twitter will be included in the fun.

You can even enter an email address at the site to have a reminder sent to you before the blogging begins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Please join us Tuesday night!

I’m thrilled to be part of this experiment in political reporting, putting the “pro” in “progressive” That’s a lower case “p” there everyone, don’t panic.
