The Future of The Republican Party

Saturday, February 2, 2013
posted by Brian Brady

If you’re wondering what the future of the conservative movement looks like, Julie Borowski is the face of it.  She’s a 20-something,  limited government constitutionalist, who works as a policy analyst for FreedomWorks.  I met tons of young people like her last year and the Republican party needs to court them.

They hold differing personal opinions on gambling, prostitution, gay marriage, and drugs, but find common ground in the belief that it just ain’t the government’s business.

Follow Julie on her blog, her Twitter account, her hugely successful YouTube channel, and her Facebook page.

Here’s a little sample of Julie owning that British Larry King wannabe on CNN.

  1. Ms. Right says:

Interesting, when these bright young lads and lassies get married and have kids of their own, some of those views will change, but they are starting off with a very good foundation.

The comment above from Ms. Right is about the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.

Julie is fully committed to the cause of liberty and freedom. Her views aren’t transient; they don’t depend on the particular circumstances of her life at any given moment.

I think Ms. Right is simply projecting her own anecdotal experience about what happened in her own life onto Julie. Ms. Right, just because your view and principles are made of clay give you no right to disparage others with similar accusations.

Julie’s views are bedrock. And people like her are what the GOP need.

  3. Thor's Assistant Thor's Assistant says:

    JD: Ridiculous? Clay? Really?

We read Ms. Right’s comment as noting a common reality, while complimenting Julie and other young people like her for having a good foundation of beliefs.

    Just what are you reading?

    Ridiculous right back at ya.
