Wonsley retires as Horn’s chief of staff; Steiner takes helm

From County Supervisor Bill Horn…

July 23, 2012- It is with mixed emotion that I announce the retirement of my Chief of Staff, Joan Wonsley.

Joan has been on my staff for almost 17 years.  She started as a Policy Advisor on health issues and for the last 13 years, she has been my top advisor, consultant and confidant.  During her time, Joan also led me through four successful re-elections, which is no small feat in today’s political climate.

My staff and I will miss Joan’s professionalism, leadership and sharp political insight.  We will miss her compassion and infectious laugh.  Joan has worked very hard for many years and deserves the opportunity to enjoy more time with her family, children and grandson.  I hope you will join me in wishing Joan health and happiness in her retirement.

I am also pleased to announce I have named Dustin Steiner as my new Chief of Staff.  Dustin has been my Deputy Chief of Staff and Land Use Advisor for the past 5 years and is excited to take on this new challenge.
