The Best and Worst SD Mayor Videos

Saturday, May 19, 2012

Politics & Media Mashup

Good videos are an effective way to communicate a message, especially since many of us are attached to iPhones and iPads.

I believe political videos will eventually replace mail pieces and most news releases. Won’t that be nice! That’s a post for another day.

Today I decided to mashup the best and worst campaign videos from San Diego mayoral candidates Bonnie Dumanis, Carl DeMaio and Nathan Fletcher. I didn’t include Bob Filner, who also is running for mayor, because he hasn’t produced any videos. How apropo.

Some of the videos I included are new to me. Others have been out for a while. More are on the horizon. Following the videos in this post are comments, including some I received Friday when I did some crowdsourcing and several from readers who responded to this post Saturday on Twitter. Please join the discussion on Twitter or below this post.

Great interview with Congressman Bob Filner on KUSI’s San Diego people.

We’re less than a month away from the June primary, and one of the choices facing San Diego voters is who should be our next mayor. On this edition of San Diego People, we’re joined by mayoral candidate Bob Filner. We talk about the big issues facing San Diego, including pension reform, convention center expansion and our local economy. And we get the congressman’s vision for the future of our city.
