From Issa Camp:

VISTA, CA – U.S. Congressman Darrell Issa (R-Vista) today released the following statement on the first draft of Congressional district boundaries made public today by the Citizens Redistricting Commission:

“Taking the redistricting process away from state legislators and backroom deals is something I have long supported. While I recognize these maps are not final and there may yet be legitimate questions or revisions, I thank the members of the Citizens Redistricting Commission for their hard work in this process.

“In examining the proposed districts, if this realignment were to become final I would seek reelection in the new congressional district that includes the coastal communities of south Orange County and North County San Diego, stretching from Dana Point to Del Mar. Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, my home town of Vista and the surrounding coastal communities have been the heart of the districts I have represented since first elected in 2000 and are all within the boundaries of the proposed district.

“Additionally, it is a distinct privilege to represent the men and women of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton and I want to continue that work. Finally, I have previously represented the people of South Orange County and Carlsbad. I know this proposed district well and look forward to representing its citizens and communities in Congress.”

   I agree with the Issa camp………..I love the representative that will share coffee with a constituent,and simply ask for a vote,then pick up the tab……….

   I speak for a lot of veterans that Issa has been one of us….and I am so looking forward to that Viet Nam era swiftboat comming to san diego thanks to your efforts in Malta on behalf of our Navy vets………….
