“Troubleshooter” Emerald in Trouble (Again)
Saturday, December 12, 2009
posted by Mr. Murphy
From this morning’s Union Tribune, an absolutely brutal article that demonstrates Councilwoman Emerald’s hypocrisy, arrogance, and simple inability to follow the laws she’s spent years demanding others to follow. Directly to you Marti (since you are a reader): this is not the cumulation of efforts to hold you accountable, it’s the beginning. You’ll know exactly what I mean shortly.

Oh this is great. The woman talked about nothing but open government and ethics and where did she raise all this money? FRIGGING LOBBYISTS!
Marti, I was torn on you last election but I’m to the point now of considering you a pubic embarrassment. Will you please resign and spare us this ongoing humiliation?
DRP
I WANT TO REMIND COMMENTERS THAT YOU WILL BE UNPUBLISHED IF YOU INSIST ON MAKING PERSONAL COMMENTS, BANNED IF YOU REPEAT.
MIGHTY THOR
Rumor at the city is that Marti is having some real family issues, feels like she is under constant attack, and is considering resigning. She is really stressed out.
I don’t have any ‘evidence’ of this… she hardly even notices me since i don’t work for her, but I heard this twice at the Holiday Party last week.
Don’t you know Mr. Murphy, Marti is the only one who is allowed to tear people apart in public and get away with it. She was the “trouble shooter.”
You need to leave her alone, its not like she is a public figure accountable to the people or anything. Seriously, the Unions paid for her, they are the only ones she has to listen too.
Oh this website is a gas I just discovered it today!
I’ve got to admit I liked Marti Emerald on tv but she has been an enormous disappointment on the City Council.
I won’t vote for her next time, that’s for sure!
Mary
PS I think from what I have read in the paper you are right up there, Marti Emerald should simply resign.
I haven’t heard Emerald might resign, but I’ve heard from people who work for her that she is literally going nuts. Crying, breakdowns, the whole nine yards. She is going to have a very hard time keeping some of her staff if the S**t hits the fan over there.
I loath this woman. The real question here is can the money be generated to recall her.
My guess is that if even a reasonable amount of money was raised we could cause her to resign because she knows there is no way she can win in a lower turnout election.
I really don’t like this woman. I worked against her in the election. I’m going to copy the article and walk it around a few precincts over the next few days!
I encourage others to do the same.
Is there any group organizing walking against her that anyone knows of?
