Lorena's comments remind me of the Black Knight on Monty Python and the Holy Grail:

Black Knight: (after losing one arm) "Tis but a scratch!"

(after losing other arm) "It's just a flesh wound!"

(after losing two arms, and one leg) "I'm invincible!"

For voters in the city of San Diego, they faced a daunting number of props to consider. And 'em all up, and they total TWO. As in more than one. Four, if you count up all the state props.

Yup, such a barrage of props would confuse anybody. Uh huh.

It's a wonder labor allows more than one candidate per race. Too confusing for the voters, I'm sure.

If Lorena found the June props too numerous for the voters, she'll go BONKERS when she gets her November state ballot. ALREADY there are THREE tax increase props on the ballot -- doubtless put there by cunning Republicans.

My guess is that the final tally of November state props will be at least 10, and perhaps more. Lorena should file a lawsuit today to cancel the election -- too confusing for "her" voters, apparently.

As for the candidate races, this is an "off" even election year -- no statewide offices are on the ballot. It's simpler than normal for voters. She will just HATE 2014. Doubtless it would be fun to go back and read her apocalyptic comments about the recent 2010 election -- all those annoying choices!

Great post Bill.

The complete fallacy of Lorena's “very complicated legal issues” and "voters were distracted with so many races on the ballot" arguments is apparent when you consider that people vote NO when they are confused or distracted, not YES.

Maybe the District 7 race result was a cause of the 7-1 ratio. Keep digging Lorena - there's a pony in there somewhere.
